Submission Guidelines

 

The IAGl will consider contributions of information related to the history and culture of Germans from southwestern Lithuania, known as the Deutsche aus Litauen. Topics may include, but are not limited to, genealogical research, history, cultural items, and current events.

Considering factors for publication include:

  • General interest to our readers

  • Our need to cover certain subjects

  • Balance of subject matter throughout the particular issue

  • Available space

  • Preference given to articles that show reference links to records on the IAGL database

  • Preference given to original contributions, but with exceptions

  • Preference is given to articles with citations to references and materials—but not required

The editors reserve the right to edit all submitted materials for presentation, grammar, correction of errors, and length of copy.

The author is responsible for the accuracy, omissions, and factual errors.

By submitting an article to the IAGL for publication, the author acknowledges and agrees that any violation of any right of privacy is the sole responsibility of the author. The burden of compliance of any privacy law is on the author. Neither Die Weite nor the IAGL will be responsible for any damages resulting from any breach of a right to privacy resulting from such contribution by the author.
